Lao Golf Association of Minnesota welcomes you!

Lao Golf Association of Minnesota, a non-profit organization; formed in 1998 by a group of dedicated formal soccer players. Lao Golf Association of Minnesota comprise of many ethnic groups.  Lao Golf Association of Minnesota promotes physical health and wellness along with family life.  Lao Golf Association of Minnesota supports local Buddhist temples and communities and donates monetary, clothes, school supplies and other items  to schools and temples to our homeland, Laos.  Visit our news and events section and come out and enjoy the comrade.

Chaska Town Course (2 Person Best Ball Scramble Combo): 
Members and non-members will be paired by using their handicaps or their average score of previous 10 rounds. Pairings of lower handicapper will be matched with higher handicappers to even out the field.

Cost: $54 to Walk
Cost: $64 to Ride (Ride Optional) Green Fees
Cost: $40 Pool Prize

  • If you have a partner- we will consider your pairing as long as your total average scores are within the playing field's average.
    For example: 
    Golfer 1 average score= 80 
    Golfer 2 average score= 90
    ---------------------------
    Combined Partner score= 170
    Playing field team average= 166

    The committee will consider your partnership
Format: (2 Person Best Ball Scramble Combo):
Front 9 - $10/Prize Pool: 2 person Best Ball: play your own ball.  And record the lowest of the score with the following exception(s).
  • B Player Scores on Three (3) holes #2,#6,#9.
    For Example on a PAR 4: Your partner holes out with a (4) four and you hole out with a (5) Five.  You will need to record the (5) Five on the scorecard.
  • Tie Breaker: Alternate shot CHIP/PUTT OFF
Back 9 - $10/Prize Pool: 2 person scramble: Scramble Rules.   And record the lowest of the score with the following exception(s).
  • B Player Drive (Non Par 3): Any two drive of hole (#10 #11, #13, #14, #16 #17,#18.) 
    You must use two (2) of B Player Drive from any back 9 driving hole.
    For example: if your driving distance is 300 yards and your partner is 290 yards.  You will use the drive that is 290 yards.
  • Tie Breaker: Alternate shot CHIP/PUTT OFF
Overall : $10/Prize Pool - Tie Breaker: Alternate shot CHIP/PUTT OFF
Birdie Skins: $10 /Prize Pool

Fees/Prize Pool: There are 4 categories of payout- Front 9, Back 9, Overall Net Score and Skins.

Fees: Green Fees- TBA: $10- Front 9/$10 Back 9/$10 Overall / $10- Regular Skins

Donors: Water and Snacks provided by Johnny and Costco of Eden Praire

Lao Golf of MN BYLAWS: Overview
Our organization consists of an array of ethnic groups.  Our organization complies with the USGA standards during tournament and outing events.  Our organization standards are of integrity, trust, and respect for the sport and one another. 

Members and non-members are expected to have integrity and show honesty while participating in our events/outing.  

Club Standards and Expectation: Section 1:1
All members and non-members whom participate in our events and outings will comply with these standards with utmost regard towards one another.  
  • Any misleading or dishonesty will not be tolerated and subject to members/non-members termination from events/outings.
  • Any dispute or fights or indication of violent will not be tolerated and subject to criminal and/or prosecution.
  • These guidelines and rules subject to changes without notice and are not limited to statements above.
Club Outing : Section 1:2
All members and non-members whom participate in our events and outings will comply with these standards with utmost regard towards one another.

An outing is defined as a group of members/non-members whom have committed to participate in a weekly tee time scheduled by Directors/Officer of the Lao Golf of MN.  
You must follow the club rules in order to participate:
  • 10% Prize pool will be donated to club organizers for food and/or beverage from the winnings.
    • You may NOT opt out : if you've participated in the prize pool
    • You may opt out: if you DID NOT participated in the prize pool
